Crocked Enyimba Midfielder Jonah Abutu To Miss Taraba Clash
Enyimba midfielder Jonah Abutu has failed a late fitness test and did not travel with the rest of his teammates for the big clash with Taraba United on Sunday in the Glo Premier League.
Therefore, he will have to wait for at least another one week before making his league debut for the six-time Nigeria champions.
The 24-year-old appended his signature to a one - year contract with the People's Elephants in January, arriving from Sharks of Port Harcourt where he had spent a season.
''I picked up a muscle strain injury during training last week, so I did not travel with the squad on Friday. I wish the team luck and I am sure they can get a win or at least a draw in Jalingo,'' Jonah Abutu told SL 10.
''Hopefully, I will be back in the team for the next round of games. I have only played three matches in the CAF Champions League and being on the substitute’s bench twice in the league.''
Apart from two different spells with Sharks, Jonah Abutu has represented Dolphins, Bayelsa United plus Lobi Stars in the past.
Each player of Enyimba will pocket =N=60,000 (around 300 euros) each if they get a win against Taraba United tomorrow.
