Okwuosa Earns Rave Reviews
Victor Uzochukwu Heaps Praise On Chippa United Defender James Okwuosa
Victor Uzochukwu, the younger brother of Ugonna Uzochukwu has praised defender James Okwuosa following Chippa United's 1-0 win over Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
The former Enugu Rangers skipper, who bagged the Man of the Match award, produced a defensive masterclass against Pirates, winning almost every tackle and ball he contested.
The Buccaneers won a couple of corners in added time but solid defending from the ever excellent James Okwuosa ensured that Chippa walked away with maximum points.
The Graduate of Information Science at Abia State University believes Okwuosa will get even better.
“He has progressed since he moved to South Africa,” Victor told SL10.
“Every match he has gotten better and better. He has played nearly every game this season and has been terrific. There is still more to come from him, he is still learning the game and is still improving, so it is great for him and he is having a good time.”
"With his energy, he really sets the tone for the rest of the players. He’s a credit to himself. He is a born leader.
James is a humble player that can play under any coach, so if you can play under your gaffer's instruction I bet you, the sky is your stepping stone.
With the presence of Ugonna Uzochukwu, James Okwuosa and George Akpabio the Chilli boys will come tops when the ABSA Premiership season runs out.”
