NFF To Act Fast If Burkina Hire Keshi

NFF To Appoint New Super Eagles Coach Immediately If Stephen Keshi Is Named The New Burkina Faso Coach

With Stephen Keshi in the frame to becoming the next coach of the Stallions of Burkina Faso, sl10.ng have scooped that the Nigeria Football Federation will announce a successor to the former Super Eagles captain almost immediately if he is named as coach of the Francophone country.

There has been a ‘deliberate delay tactics’ by the Nigeria Football Federation in handing the 52-year old a new contract, which has seen the Super Eagles without a substantive coach since Keshi’s contract expired last summer after Nigeria’s exit at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Reliable sources at the Glass House have briefed sl10.ng that the NFF have a draft of a contract proposal to Keshi, but they’re sure it will be rejected by the ‘Big Boss’, as it includes ‘stringent clauses and a pay cut’.

And sl10.ng has also reliably gathered that a coach will be appointed almost immediately after, if Keshi is named the Burkina Faso coach.

“They (NFF) will almost certainly appoint a new coach immediately Keshi is announced as coach of Burkina Faso. There is a deliberate delay tactics on their part not to offer him a deal, and since there are no competitive games until June, they are happy to wait,” a source informed.

“There is a proposal they have at the moment, but I’m sure the Big Boss will not accept it because there are very stringent clauses on how he’ll work and a pay cut as well,” the source added.

Keshi was fired last October after Nigeria defeated Sudan 3-1 in a 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, but was believed to have been reinstated by the Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan, and as a result, the NFF have found it difficult to get rid of him, even though he doesn’t have a valid contract with the Glass house.

Keshi is in contention with French-German, Gernot Rohr and Serbian, Milovan Rajevac to become the next Burkina Faso coach.

Why do they need him to be appointed elsewhere before making their move for a new coach. This is quite unfortunate as it shows that the FA cannot take an important decision without duress.

What is slekky really saying. We are all entitled to freedom of choice. Why refer to people as dumb for not going for your choice? Keshi may be a legend (to some) but in every facets of life, there are cycles. If he respects himself and desires a good career, he should know that he needs a break from the Super Eagles now. He was paid for his service so stop sounding as if he did us a huge favor.

@slekky , just like u are entitled to ur opinion, thats how d fans here are entitled to theirs, so stop contradicting yourself. And i dont know who is talking about politics (PDP & APC) here, other than Keshi's new nick name (PDP chairman). Dude, just take it easy, no one here in his right senses wishes our national team bad luck, we are craving for success. cheers!

You Can can say whatever you like, Nigerians are ungrateful, its a shame, I hear you guys are supporting Buhari, shows how dumb you guys are, call a spade a spade, You can never take what he has achieved from him, you saying Roy Hogdson if hes a coach of England while will he go for another job, Have your NFF come out to be plain? Do You know his contract agreement,? lets realise the faults of the Super Eagles comes from you the fans, and media, you criticise so much, did he not invite Anthony Uja, and co, when they went to CONFEDERATIONS CUP, They went there playing like Kids, did he not invite Brown Ideye? he wasn't playing, Ideye had to be taught how it works here in England before giving him games, accuracy, heading balls, and precision, he had to be taught, but if it were to be in Nigeria, you guys will want him to play Brown Ideye instantly he was bought, he wasn't getting the basics, now hes getting it, and they playing him, if he slips, they will drop him,You insulting Mikel, Hes a technical Player, he doesn't care what you think of hes play, he plays to instruction, and hes been a Chelsea Great over 9years, Brani just joined the 300 appearance Mikel, John Terry has already done. You Nigerians need a hard leader that will flog you before you listen to instructions, but when you av a calm one you throw insults, why am i saying this, you guys will never accept the truth, Matic was so irresponsible yesterday costing Chelsea the game,if it was Mikel you people will open your Big Mouth, how many Yellow Cards av that young man acquired, hes disciplined in making tackles, only the coaches knows, if he has done that i trust haters will talk, for your information, Matic will not play the Wembley finals, who God says is hes is hes, the young Man will be out to do it, Yes Matic is good, Mikel got his style, that the Special One cannot just offload him, its not sentiments my people, hes been playing and will play till he decides to moves, he knows hes contract,You guys and an embarrassent to Nigerian Football, instead of you guys yelling at Pinnick, you all yelling Keshi, its not easy to coach Nigeria, cos everyone knows it all. My view, am entitled to my opinion, Keshi i love you, God Bless you for all your efforts.

@ Jadijadi, the only old legs to be included to me are enyeama, to guide them, then Onazi, omeruo (if he can give us CAN2013 form, and Musa. The rest should just be left out... An attack of Musa, kayode and Moses Simon would be to fast for any defense to handle

Keshi is a spilled milk, hence, I'm keeping notes on the future with the following names: ANTHONY UJAH & OLARENWAJU KAYODE. What is their pulse rate and do you have any contribution(s). Another player on my MUST CONVINCE list JONATHAN IBE. They need to be assembled early and groomed by the Chief Architect (Sieeeeer1). Maybe the Eagles is already formed by the Olympic team (sleek Picknick) ... need ONLY: inclusion of some old legs. Who will these old legs be? Certainly NOT Agbim ...Onazi is still good. As well, Enyeama is undisputated goalie. Does Obi have a say here? I will say form the team around Kelechi. The future looks very bright and rosy. I will pay a million to see the metamorphism of Kelechi-Kayode-Ibe - that's the friendly we should be asking. Please DON'T WASTE YOUR ENERGY ON THAT SPILLED MILK. ME FOR SURE, I WILL NOT RESPOND TO HIS STORIES.

I 'm getting tired of this "Keshi is a legend" comments. No one is doubting that fact. He has failed and has to step aside. Roberto Di Matteo was a chelsea legend as a player, came back to win the UCL for the team as a coach, following season, he was fired after failing to advance from the group stage of the tournament. The worst fact is that Keshi hasn't admit he failed!!!

Sleekly, Chuxinho and Emotion, you must be the Nigerian version of. 3 blind mice. Please use that thing you call a brain to think...If I were in Pinnick's shoes, I will appoint another coach The day KESHIt boards the plane for the interview in Bukinafaso. Sorry boss you can't be in contention for 2 jobs at the same time. No serious football country will allow their current coach to go for an interview anywhere without firing him. Imagine Hodgson going to Spain for a job interview while still coach of England. KEshi has shown NIGERIA the utmost DISRESPECT.

He Is A LEGEND IN EVERY RAMIFICATION, ITS A DISGRACE how Most people quantify his Loyalty, Well, every Nigeria want to be a coach, NFF, you people know nothing, and you guys are the reasons behind Nigeria not qualifying for AFCON, BUT it baffles me when critics of KESHI are so dumb. WELL DONE OUR LEGEND.

@Clem de moon thanks for wishing Keshi success, he is our brother and has served our country well. Keshi is a legend in every sense of the word and only a fool that lacks home training will call Keshi derogatory names.
