Morrison Opens Up On First-Ever Pirates Goal
Orlando Pirates Forward Pleased With Performance
Orlando Pirates forward, Bernard Morrison, is happy to have scored his first goal for the club.
The Ghanaian’s goal against Ajax Cape Town was an all-important one, as it earned the team their three points and helped the club to maintain a top position on the Absa Premiership log.
Having joined Bucs last year from Democratic Republic of the Congo outfit AS Vita Club, Morrison struggled for game time at the Soweto giants last season.
He was linked with an exit from the club at some stage. However, the 24-year-old has proved doubters wrong by using the opportunity given to him by Milutin Sredojevic and his technical team to good effect.
“It feels good and I’m happy that I have scored my first goal for the club. You know, I have been with the club for a year and it wasn’t good that I wasn’t playing or scoring. It felt like the club was wasting money on me or something. When I recovered from injury I pushed myself hard to prepare for when I get an opportunity to play. I’m happy it came and I managed to score,” Morrison told the Siya crew.
Morrison and his teammates at Bucs are preparing for the game against Maritzburg United on Friday.
