Ndlovu Scores To Secure Champions League Progression
Dino Ndlovu Scored In The UEFA Champions League Last Night
South African striker, Dino Ndlovu, helped Qarabag take one step closer to the group stages of the UEFA Champions League after scoring the decisive goal for his side last night.
The 27-year-old has scored three goals in four UCL qualifying games so far as his side beat of Samtredia and now FC Sheriff, playing a vital role for the club on their march into the final round of qualifiers.
Ndlovu opened the scoring, grabbing a vital away goal, for Qarabag in Moldova on Tuesday evening, giving them some breathing room as they went on to win 2-1 and progress to the next round.
The victory means that the forward will be guaranteed group stage football in either the UCL or UEFA Europa League this coming season, with victory in the playoff round securing the former and defeat resulting in the latter.
All of the other third qualifying round games will take place this evening, with the likes of Liverpool, Sevilla, Hoffenheim, Napoli and Sporting Clube de Portugal set to join the winners.
The draw for the playoff round will take place on Friday afternoon in Switzerland.
