New Boss Comments On James Rodriguez's Situation At Bayern Munich
New Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has commented on Colombian star James Rodriguez's situation at the Bavarian club.
The on-loan star has struggled to settle in at the Bundesliga club, and since the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti, there are rumours the attacking midfielder is considering a return to Real Madrid.
Heynckes, who has taken charge of Bayern until the end of the season, believes the 26-year-old's struggles stem from not being able to speak German, and insisted the club will stand by him.
"James Rodriguez doesn't speak German. German football is very different to football in South America. It's a tough situation for a young player," Heynckes said, as quoted by FourFourTwo.
"However, he has to know that he can count on my support and my help because I like players with talent and I believe he has a lot of talent.
"I've seen his games for Real Madrid, but I don't know him personally. When they come back (from the international break), I'm going to talk with them and give them some advice."
Rodriguez has made five appearances for the Bavarians so far this season, scoring one goal and assisting one further strike.
