UCL Debutant Responds To Neymar's Handshake Snub

UEFA Champions League Debutant Responds To Neymar's Handshake Snub

By Kurt Buckerfield - Sep 13, 2017 11:59 AM @KurtLaduma

Neymar was superb for Paris Saint-Germain in their UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday, but has come under fire for snubbing a handshake from a young debutant, who has now commented on the incident.

The Brazilian, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani were all on the scoresheet in PSG's 5-0 win over Celtic, providing evidence that they are likely to be a serious force in Europe's biggest club competition this season.

Many, however, have criticised Neymar for his treatment of 18-year-old Anthony Ralston, who made his debut in the Champions League against Les Parisiens on Tuesday night.

With the pair having clashed several times during match, Neymar refused to shake the young defender's hand at the end of the 90 minutes, although this is something Ralston has said he will not lose sleep over.

"It wasn't a big deal," he said, according to the Scottish Herald

"I won't dwell on that too much. If that is the case (that he refused to shake hands) and that is the way he wants to be, then fine.

"I don't care. Like I said, everybody is different, so I won't lose any sleep over it."

Here is a video of the incident:

On the football front, Neymar has played five games this season, scoring five goals and assisting a further five strikes.

During 90 mins of a game we might have clashes but after the game we're friends. after all it's a game not war. So Njr shud've got over it and give a handshake.

@berbatov, the best there is where? Cos he hasn't won Ballon do, at 26 years messi already won 4 ballon do and CR 7 won his first at 23, Neyma is way behind the two footballers of all time, plus we humbled juve last night fair and square.

He showed that he has a long way to reach maturity by causing a quarrel with Semedo during a training session, and the way he left was so out of the blue.......he was suppose to say after the loss against Juve that he doesn't wanna play for Barca no more instead of getting stupid red cards and costing us la liga, so good riddance to him he is not missed!
