Absa Premiership Trio Suspended
There Are A Handful Of Absa Premiership Suspensions This Week
Three Absa Premiership players will be forced to sit out their side’s respective games tomorrow night due to the suspensions that they picked up recently.
The biggest name missing for the crunch games taking place on Wednesday night is SuperSport United’s Thabo Mnyamane, with the 24-year-old sitting out the second match of his two-game ban for a stamp on a KwaDukuza United player in the Nedbank Cup.
Mnyamane will miss the important Tshwane Derby with Mamelodi Sundowns but will return in time for the Nedbank quarterfinals at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Sphamandla Mlilo is also serving the last game of his ban after he was suspended for a red card against Baroka in the cup earlier this month, however, he too will be back for their quarterfinal clash with Golden Arrows.
Lastly, Esau Kanyenda starts his two-game ban this week following his red card against Chippa United, missing games against Dikwena and Arrows.
Several other players, including Percy Tay, Mpho Matsi, Gabadinho Mhango and Dean Furman are also on the brink of suspension as they sit just one card away from a one-game ban.
