Contract Situation At Sundowns Confirmed
Pitso Mosimane Sheds Light On Contract Situation At Mamelodi Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane, has spoken out about the contract situation with the first-team players at the club.
Several players such as Mzikayise Mashaba will see their contracts with Sundowns expire at the end of the current 2016/17 campaign, while the likes of Teko Modise and Percy Tau all reportedly have added options set in place, that if exercised by the club, their stay could be extended beyond the current season.

As previously reported on Soccer Laduma last year, Sundowns exercised the option on Leonardo Castro’s existing contract, which sees his stay extended until, at least, June 2018, while it was also revealed by the Siya crew that the club recently concluded a contract extension for their centre-back, Wayne Arendse.
Head Coach Mosimane has since confirmed the news on Sundowns’ official website, saying, “We been dealing with contracts to be renewed. Some players have option clauses in their contracts which favour the club, and we have exercised options on the contracts of players like Leo Castro and Wayne Arendse and we will be keeping them for the next year.”
“There has been lots of talk and speculation about our players. We need to assure our supporters that we are not casual about contracts. We are working hard to finalise them,” He added.
