Sakala Appearing Before Baroka DC
Jacob Sakala To Know His Baroka Future
Baroka FC chairman, Khurishi Mphahlele, has confirmed to the Siya crew that Jacob Sakala’s disciplinary hearing at the club has been scheduled for 10h00 this morning.
Sakala, who was appointed as the Baroka head coach in January, was suspended on February 18 after only two games in charge of the team.
The experienced Zambian coach was suspended with his technical team members in Edward Williams (assistant coach) and Mark Harrison (technical director).
Baroka management wanted Sakala to assure them that the team would win their league games against Kaizer Chiefs, Polokwane City, Cape Town City and Bidvest Wits.
The coach was suspended after he refused to guarantee victories for the team in those games. While waiting for the outcome of the DC, the club went on to hire former Mbombela United coach Milton Dlamini to work as co-coach with Kgoloko Thobejane in the Baroka technical team.
Sakala was initially scheduled to appear before the Baroka DC two weeks ago. However, the matter was postponed for today and the chairman of the club has since confirmed that the DC will take place from 10h00.
“It’s at 10h00 this morning,” said the chairman.
Sakala was suspended without pay by the Limpopo outfit, while the team has failed to win any of the games the management wanted wins from under Sakala.
From a possible 12 points out of the four games, Baroka have collected just two and have conceded 10 goals. The team is 16th on the Absa Premiership log with nine games to go in the 2016/17 season.
