Chiefs Offer Teen Sensation Pro Contract

Wiseman Meyiwa Has Been Offered A Pro Contract At Kaizer Chiefs

By Soccer Laduma - Mar 15, 2017 03:01 PM
Kaizer Chiefs are looking to secure the future of teenage starlet, Wiseman Meyiwa, by offering him a professional contract at the club.

The 17-year-old returned from the U20 Africa Cup of Nations this week after helping Amajita qualify for the U20 World Cup in South Korea, with the Amakhosi man putting in a number of strong performances in Zambia.

Now, as he looks to take the next step in his career, Meyiwa could be on the verge of joining Steve Komphela’s senior ranks following his form in the Multichoice Diski Challenge and for the junior national team.

As reported in today’s issue of Soccer Laduma, Chiefs have moved to tie down the teen - who has been linked with Guinean club, Horoya AC - by tabling a professional contract to him for the first time, a contract that he is expected to sign in the near future.

Meyiwa played four of Amajita’s five games at the U20 AFCON as Thabo Senong’s side finished fourth.

When Musona arrive at Chiefs, he was not rushed, he was given a chance to settle down, he was very young then, thereafter what happened? The same goes for Emanuel Letlotlo. The same will go for Meyiwa, Ngcobo, Ngedane and those to come. After the promotion of Doctor Khumalo, Ace Ntsoelengoe, Malombo Lechaba and the host of stars were there and they groom Doc. Tshabalala and Khune and company will groom these young stars as well. At Chiefs we are used to that.

indidane, you see, Chiefs Develop players, it has been doing it ever since, you remember Trevor KKK Mthimkhulu, Ntsie Maphike, Khune, Umuntu akalahlwa Manyathi, Doctor Khumalo the list is endless. What about Sundowns? It is a team of shoping, it does not develop talent but only knows how to destroy it. What happed to Edward Manqele, Luyolo Nomandela, Lungisane Ndlela the list is endless!!!!

"It's important for our senior players to have a good time at the club. There are things that we want to achieve at Chiefs in the next few years. So, it's important for young players to gain experience from the senior players so that when they [senior players] leave, they leave the team in great shape. That's what we want to achieve," Motaung concluded.

This boy plays above average than Baloyi, its about time our youngsters are given chance to prove themselves. SK, we are still waiting to see you fielding 2017/18 newly signed players.

Who promoted him? Bobby or Khompela? Our coach is yet to prove himself so I doubt he will field youngsters.

promoting the young players is good for their development but putting them on the bench indefinitely is not, SK needs to introduce this players in the last minutes of the games just for them to feel the vibe. they must play in the nedbank cup, macufe and this smaller cups if we want to have a strong squad in the future

SK is not gonna play him. Rather sign and loan him to a smaller team, where he is likely to be given game time.

@indidane get your facts straight before u embarrass ur self @indidane ngoba ngiyabona ngathi uthanda ukudideka... Let me school u a bit, Amakhosi last won the league in 2014-15 season, last won nedbank in 2013 and last won MTN 8 in 2014 and last won Telkom Knock Out in 2010. Next time do ur research before talking, ok. Sure! ;-)
