Tshwane Derby: How Mamelodi Sundowns Can Line-Up Against SuperSport United
Mamelodi Sundowns could make a few changes to their match-day squad this evening when they welcome their Tshwane rivals to the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
The Brazilians suffered a 1-0 defeat to Golden Arrows on Saturday, April 08, which saw their early exit from the Nedbank Cup competition and Head Coach, Pitso Mosimane, will be determined to shift all his focus on his league title run and get back to winning ways when they host SuperSport United tonight, April 13.
However, Masandawana have been dealt a blow with all the injuries to their influential first-team players, with Mosimane having to resort to fielding the likes of Motjeka Madisha and Thabo Nthethe who has seen little first-team game-time this season.
Indications are that Nthethe and Madisha could once again partner up in the centre-back position for the Brazilians, as Mosimane could still be without the services of Ricardo Nascimento and Soumahoro Bangaly who picked up respective injuries prior to the team’s loss in the Nedbank Cup.
On the other hand, Thapelo Morena could return to the right-back position, in order to make way for another attacking player up front.
In the middle of the park, Head Coach Mosimane could utilise either Lucky Mohomi or Teko Modise alongside Hlompho Kekana, as his formidable partner in Tiyani Mabunda has recently been placed in a moon boot.
Upfront, Mosimane could reintroduce Leonardo Castro who is eager to get back to scoring goals, with Themba Zwane, Khama Billiat and Percy Tau forming the usually formidable attacking line.
Here is the Siya crew’s predicted Sundowns’ starting line-up against SuperSport this evening:
Wayne Sandilands – Tebogo Langerman, Thabo Nthethe, Motjeka Madisha, Thapelo Morena, Hlompho Kekana, Lucky Mohomi, Themba Zwane, Khama Billiat, Percy Tau, Leonardo Castro
Who do you think Mosimane should field in his starting line-up?
