Real Madrid's First Departure Revealed?
With stars such as James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata linked with a Real Madrid exit, it seems the club's first departure has now been revealed.
Defender Pepe's contract expires at the end of the season, and reports suggest he will join Inter Milan.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 34-year-old has accepted a €4 million annual net salary plus bonuses, and will sign a two-year contract with the Nerazzurri.
Real only offered him a one-year extension, which the defender was not happy with, while he could reportedly earn much more in China.
However, the centre back apparently wants to play at a more competitive level, and has joined Inter's project.
The struggling Serie A giants, who have had four different coaches this season, want to get back to former glories, with Chinese owner Zhang Jindong pumping money into the club in a bid to make this a reality.
Pepe is understood to be one of at least three high-profile players who will arrive at Inter in the coming transfer window.
The 2016 European Championship winner will leave the Santiago Bernabeu after 10 years, during which he made 334 appearances, with the club.
