Obadaki Vows To Score More Goals
Halilu Obadaki Dedicates Goal To Coach Unuanel
Kwara United left-back Halilu Obadaki has dedicated his goal in the 2-1 loss against Shooting Stars to the entire supporters of the Harmony Warriors.
He has vowed to score more goals and help his team do well in the 2014/15 Nigeria Professional Football League.
The Flying Eagles invitee scored the equaliser from outside the area as Kwara United fell 2-1 to rivals Shooting Stars in the second semi final of the Nigeria National League Super Four tournament at Kwara Stadium.
“I was happy to have scored for Kwara United from open play. As the captain of the match day, I think we owe the fans more than just going down against our rivals. I'm hopeful of better days for the entire Harmony family,” Obadaki told SL10.
“I thank my teammates for celebrating with me and I want to dedicate the goal to our ever supportive fans. They kept on urging us on when we were down, said the overlapping wing-back.
“In football anything can happen but for us I think we didn't deserve to lose the match after playing so well.
“I want to appeal to everyone associated with Kwara United to be patient. We won't disappoint them in the upcoming NPFL season.
Kwara United will be hoping to appease their fans when they clash with Wikki Tourists in the third-place match on Wednesday.
